The purpose of this bid is to solicit offers from qualified vendors to provide professional laundry and dry-cleaning services for Emergency Medical Service (EMS) uniforms. The awarded vendor will be responsible for the timely, high-quality cleaning, and pressing of EMS uniforms to maintain a clean, professional appearance. Laundry and dry-cleaning services for the following EMS uniform items: • Field Uniforms o Shirts – red colored - polyester and polyester/cotton polo shirts with screen printing on back o Trousers – navy blue colored - 5.11 Tactical Stryke EMS Pants • Standard Uniforms o Shirts – white colored - short and long sleeve Flying Cross polyester, Dutypro polyester/cotton, and Tact Squad polyester/cotton shirts. o Trousers - navy blue colored – Flying Cross polyester and Fechheimer polyester/cotton. • Jackets o Lime colored - Gerber Outerwear Eclipse SX Jacket o navy blue colored - Gerber Warrior XP Softshell Liner Jacket All garments must be professionally laundered or dry-cleaned in accordance with the manufacturer's care instructions. All uniform trousers and the standard uniform shirts must be pressed after cleaning. All items must be returned wrinklefree, ready for immediate wear. Reasonable effort must be made to remove all stains. Garments with persistent stains must be identified and returned with a written explanation. The vendor must have one or more centrally located facility within Leon County where garments can be dropped off and picked up by EMS members. If the vendor has one facility, it should be centrally located within Leon County. Facilities must be open and available for service at a minimum of 40 hours per week, excluding holidays. The vendor shall have a process in place to track uniforms and ensure each employee receives the correct garments upon return. The vendor shall have an intake process that provides verification of the employee identification number, date, time and number and type of garments dropped off for service. This process shall be used to reconcile the invoices and provided to the County with each invoice submitted for payment. The vendor is responsible for loss or damage to garments while in the possession of the vendor.
