The City of Tallahassee (City) is seeking a Contractor that will provide labor, materials, equipment, supplies, services, skills, supervision and necessary tools and equipment for upgrading the existing Duval Street entrance at the Kleman Parking Garage located at 306 South Duval Street in Tallahassee, Florida (Project). The awarded vendor will be expected to demolish or remove the existing fencing, landscaping, materials, and equipment and replace it with fencing, landscaping, materials, and equipment that satisfies the specification in Attachment C – Specifications COT Kleman Garage Duval Street Entrance Upgrades 100% Construction Documents. (See also Attachment D – Kleman Garage Entrance Special Provisions (Specifications) Bid Documents). Kleman Plaza, bounded by W. College Avenue, S. Bronough Street, S. Duval Street, and Pensacola Street, is a parking garage located downtown Tallahassee, Florida. The structure is predominantly subterranean. The roof level is capped with a public plaza that includes planters, trees, paved areas, and a fountain. Built in 1994, the structure includes five levels of parking that are accessed by vehicles at the fifth level off of S. Duval Street and at the second level from Bronough Street. The City expects this Project will take no more than ninety (120) days to complete, and as a result the contract is for one-year (1) year with no renewals. As a result, it is imperative the awarded firm satisfy or meet the following minimum requirements: a. Registered or General Contractor and be registered with the Department of Business and Professional Regulations and maintain the license duration of the Contract. b. Have been operating or in business for no less than five (5) years. c. Completed a similar project in size, scope, and nature in the last five (5) years. Failure to satisfy or meet the foregoing minimum requirements may result in disqualification or ineligibility for award. The Contractor shall have the capability to perform and complete the services in all respects in accordance with the solicitation documents. The Contractor here by warrants that all services will be performed in a timely and professional manner.
