Parking Lot Entrance Vestibule, Ticket Counter Hall, Vending Room, Waiting Room General -Take photos to catalog all fixtures, photos, framed posters, signs, and other items that exist in all spaces. -All interior work is subject to compliance with Amtrak Station Design Guide Standards as attached in the Appendix. -Carefully remove all hanging fixtures, frames, posters, and other removable items to make walls bare. Clear out temporarily all floor standing items and store in a secure location. Carefully relocate vending machines when addressing the vending room of all scope elements. -Retain existing wood trim around all windows, doors, ticket counter window positions. Salvage existing cove base and shoe rail. Salvage existing chair rail / wainscoting. Restore or replace (if not salvageable and restorable) existing wood trim, wood cove base, wood shoe rail, and wood chair rail to original condition by exposing wood grain. Stain all wood trim to match in a medium to dark stain. Reinstall all wood pieces after completing wall treatments. All woodwork shall receive a clear protective coating to guard against scuffs, marks, stains, moisture/humidity, pests/insects, etc. -Walls and ceilings shall be stripped, prepped, and primed to receive new protective coatings. Prep work includes restoral of wall sections that are identified with damage or defect and requires replacement. Wall protective coatings shall be in a color finish that promotes the spread of light, create a feel of openness, and complement the new woodwork. Protective coatings, minimum two (2) coats, shall guard against moisture/humidity, pests, etc. Contractor shall submit for Amtrak review and selection of new protective coating color finish that shall be matte or semi-gloss in nature.
