1) Remove system from service; Provide Lockout-Tag out of system; Open manway cover. 2) Pump remaining (approximately 250-500 gallons) of clean JET-A fuel from existing tank and place into a suitable temporary AST, 500 gal capacity. (To be provided by contractor). a. NOTE: Operator (FKMCD) will pump tank fuel level to (approximately 250-500 gallons) utilizing fuel farm system pump before scheduling work listed below. 3) Contractor awarded bid will remove residual JET-A fuel from tank and place into contractor provided waste fuel storage. 4) Degas tank interior to make safe for confined space entry. 5) Provide/install confined space decal. 6) Perform confined space entry; Clean tank interior using new clean white cotton towels, in accordance with ATA-103, chapter-3, section 3.11. 7) Perform interior inspection of tank and epoxy lining, in accordance with ATA-103 chapter 3, section 3.11. 8) Contractor to provide tank inspection and cleaning records/reports using ATA-103 form# 103.07A.
