The Division of Animal Industry intends to service and maintain an Electron Microscope PM, common specimen holder, chiller water cooler, UPS Toshiba and Mid-Mount-TEM camera services manufactured by JEOL USA, Inc. and is necessary to carry out the division's statutory duties. Section 570.36, Florida Statutes - Division of Animal Industry; powers and duties. - The duties of the Division of Animal Industry include, but are not limited to: (1) Enforcing those provisions of Chapter 585, and rules adopted pursuant thereto, relating to testing, supervising, controlling, and eradicating brucellosis and tuberculosis in livestock. (2) Enforcing those provisions of Chapter 585, and rules adopted pursuant thereto, relating to the control and eradication of dangerous transmissible diseases of livestock, including parasitic infestations such as screwworm and the cattle fever tick.
