The Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services, Florida Forest Service is seeking sealed bids for the sale of timber. This sale is a clearcut of approximately 300-acres of planted sand and slash pine in two areas on Blackwater River State Forest (SFI Certified Forest #NSF-SFI-FM-C0245755) in Santa Rosa County, Florida. Area 1 is approximately 148 acres in size and Area 2 is approximately 152 acres in size. Timber available for harvest includes all timber within the sale boundaries. Sale area boundaries are roads, power lines, or marked with double dots of orange paint. Estimated volume of timber to be removed includes 14,230 tons of pine pulpwood, 107 tons of pine super pulpwood, and 74 tons of pine chip-n-saw. The pine pulpwood and better product will be bid on. There is an estimated 500 tons of pine fuelwood available for harvest.
