• Provide Florida Fancy Grade nursery stock, true to species and variety, conforming to the American Standard for Nursery Stock (ASNS). • Submit plant source information, nursery certifications, and representative photos for approval before delivery. • Deliver all plant material in healthy condition, free from disease and pests, and handle per ASNS standards. B. Plant Schedule • Refer to General Notes and Plant Schedule on Sheet L5.3. • (1) Arizona Cypress “Blue Ice” – 12’ to 14’ height • (5) Red Cedar – 8’ to 10’ height • (20) Trident Maple - 6” caliper, 22’ height, 6’ spread, 7’ clear trunk • (21) Green Shadow Sweet Bay Magnolia – 5” caliper, 20’ height, 7’ spread, 6’ clear • (11) Large Live Oak – 6” caliper, 10’ height • (1) Small Live Oak – 3” caliper, 12’ height • (9) Sabal Palm – 12’ – 18’ height • (21) Sabal Palm – 16’ height C. Site Preparation • Verify existing site conditions, locate utilities, and protect existing trees, pavement, and utilities from damage. • Stake tree locations per plan and notify the Landscape Architect and Owner’s Representative for inspection before digging. • Excavate tree pits per the details shown on the planting plan. Ensure pits are of sufficient size and percolate (drain) within 24 hours. • Amend soils per the Soil Plan and Landscape Specifications, including installation of improved planting mix where indicated (minimum 36" depth for trees). • Provide mulch and weed inhibitor within planting areas per specifications. D. Tree Installation • Install all trees per the Planting Details and General Planting Notes on the plans. • Set trees at proper depth and orientation, remove top 1/3 of burlap and wire baskets, and backfill with approved amended soil. • Stake trees using “Arbor-Tie” or approved equivalent when necessary to ensure stability. • Install 3” double-shredded hardwood mulch in all tree pits and planting beds. • Construct berms or saucers for watering around each tree where appropriate.
