1. The Vendor shall furnish all materials, labor, equipment, and incidentals required to paint, pressure wash, and/or sandblast various equipment buildings, lift stations, tanks, vessels, pump stations, piping, other structures and equipment throughout Polk County, including Polk County Utilities (PCU), on an as needed basis. 2. The type of paint required shall be acrylic, epoxy or latex industrial coatings and shall be rust resistant when necessary. No paint containing lead shall be allowed. The Vendor will confer with the County Project Manager (PM) to determine the type of paint required based upon the type of surface being painted. All colors shall be conferred with the County PM to match the colors of existing structures and comply with applicable regulatory requirements. All painting materials shall be fully equal to those manufactured by the Tnemec Company Inc., Carboline Company, SherwinWilliams Company, and PPG Industries, Inc. Coatings and coating application reducers and additives shall be products of a single manufacturer. Any requests for variations from these manufacturers shall be submitted in writing to the County PM with proper product specification documentation. 3. The Contractor shall be able to perform multiple concurrent projects. These projects shall be handled independently of each other. 4. Work Proposals and Work Orders: The County PM will contact the Vendor when services are needed. The Vendor may be responsible for visiting the job site with the County PM or designee to assess the extent of the job requirements and become familiar with site working conditions before issuing a work order proposal. The County PM and Vendor shall mutually agree on the types and quantities of items required for each painting and/or pressure washing project. The Vendor shall email the County PM a work order proposal price within five (5) business days. All proposals will be based on the awarded bid sheet prices and include a proposed start date and completion date for the project.
