To provide the College and the Foundation with Investment Management Consulting Services, including but not limited to, assistance with: Reviewing the investment structures, considering asset class, active and passive management, management styles, and whether the structure should change in different market conditions. Developing guidelines and procedures for rebalancing the asset classes. Manager searches and establishing qualitative and quantitative criteria for reviewing candidates. Screening prospective managers and recommending finalists that meet stated requirements. Negotiating appropriate management fees and monitoring and evaluating transaction costs and efficiency. Evaluating and recommending appropriate earnings enhancement strategies (e.g. cash management). Developing a composite index for the Foundation to measure total performance based on an established target manager mix and monitor actual performance relative to the composite index on an ongoing basis and the periodic evaluation of the efficacy of such composite going forward. Facilitating the selection of appropriate performance benchmarks and policy benchmarks for each manager. Developing timely, comprehensive quarterly performance analysis, attribution analysis, risk analysis and peer analysis of the individual managers, and determining whether or not investment policies are followed. Evaluating/Advising on manager retention/termination and assisting in developing formal manager review process. Attending quarterly meetings in Fort Lauderdale, FL with the Finance and Investment Committee and annual meetings with the Foundation Board of Directors and the College’s District Board of Trustees.
