Remove existing roofing materials and underlayment. Check for damage and/or rotted plywood/decking. Install Synthetic underlayment or manufacturer designated material. Install new starter strips at eaves for stronger bond (as needed). Install new roofing materials that match in style, color, and material as closely to the original roof as possible. Install new fascia, gutters, and downspouts. Install new lip, hip, and ridge caps. Replace all attic/ridge vents. Install new plumbing pipe boots. Any/all incidentals not specifically mentioned to repair existing metal/shingle roof to industry standards and building codes. Technical Special Provisions Metal Roof Replacement (Non-Exposed Fastner Metal) • Remove all existing mechanical standing seam metal roofing panels, fascia, flashings, gutters, downspouts, trims. • Replace any missing or damaged insulation to match existing. • Install 24 Gauge standing seam metal roofing panels over top of the purlins and insulation system. Color should match original as close as possible unless otherwise indicated by the FDOT project manager. • Panels will be fastened, per manufacturers specs, with manufacturer approved anchor clips and fasteners. • Install new flashings (Eave, Gable, Valley, Ridge Cap, Panel Starter, Z Flashing, Sidewall, end wall, Pipe Boot, Etc.) per manufacturers specs. • Install 24 Gauge painted to match box guttering at all eaves. Gutters will be fastened with approved clips and fasteners. Seams will be sealed. • Install matching existing downspouts, fascia, and gutters according to original plans. • All metal roof structures will be replaced at this location to include the restrooms (men’s, women’s and family), security building, and vending area.
