Specifications include, but are not limited to: The mission of the Department is to protect and promote the health of all residents and visitors in thestate through organized state and community efforts, including cooperative agreements with counties.The goals of the Bureau of HIV/AIDS's Prevention Program are to: 1) prevent HIV infection among high-risk individuals, 2) increase knowledge of serostatus among those who are HIV infected but unaware oftheir infection, and 3) increase HIV prevention interventions and support collaboration and coordination ofservices for individuals living with or at risk of acquiring HIV.4.2 Programmatic AuthorityThe successful applicant must comply with all applicable federal and state laws, regulations, actiontransmittals, and program instructions in accordance with CDC and the Health Resources and ServicesAdministration (HRSA) guidelines.The Bureau of HIV/AIDS is governed by Chapter 381, Florida Statutes, entitled Public Health and morespecifically Section 381.003, Florida Statutes, entitled Communicable Disease and AIDS Prevention andControl.4.3 Major Program GoalsThe major program goal is an HIV prevention policy initiative that aligns structures, policies, andregulations to promote optimal HIV prevention, care, and treatment. Implementing routine HIV testing inhealth care settings has been identified by the CDC as an important part of this program goal
