Repair services shall include heavy duty brake, suspension, and drive line repairs for Light Utility / Medium / Heavy trucks and trailers. For purposes of this RFQ Light Utility/Medium/Heavy trucks are defined as vehicles with a gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR) of 6,001 and greater. Gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR) is the maximum allowable weight of a fully loaded vehicle. Manufacturers/brands shall include, but not be limited to, Freightliner, International, Volvo, Auto Car, GMC, Chevrolet, Ford, Dodge. Types of equipment may also include Truck / Trailer combinations and Fire Apparatus trucks. Heavy duty brake, suspension, and drive line repairs for purposes of this RFQ are defined as, but not be limited to, brake service, ABS brake repair, drums/rotors/flywheels resurfaced; springs repaired/re-arched, walking beams and trunnions re-bushed, king pin spindles re-bushed and sized, drive shafts rebuilt and balanced, differentials rebuilt and repair, exhaust systems repair, and Florida DOT compliance inspections. Repair services shall be in accordance with all terms, conditions and specifications listed herein. Additionally, all parts/materials and services under the contract shall be provided and completed in a professional manner, in accordance with industry and safety standards, original manufacturer’s specifications/warranty, and meet the requirements of all applicable Local, State, Federal and safety regulations. The geographic area of coverage is all of Palm Beach County including locations within the Glades area. Repair services shall be completed at the successful quoter’s place of business. Successful quoter’s facility shall be located within Palm Beach County. The contract shall not include or allow for the towing of County vehicles. Only authorized OEM replacement parts shall be used, unless otherwise approved by a County representative. The contract shall not allow for the purchase of stand-alone parts/materials or equipment. Parts are only authorized to be purchased under the contract as part of a maintenance/repair service. The contract shall not be used for new installations or the replacement of entire systems. Those requirements shall be solicited separately.
