Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Contractor shall perform grinding services, such as the mulching and shredding processing of unprocessed horticultural vegetative yard waste, and landscape debris at the Charlotte County Landfill, 29751 Zemel Road, Punta Gorda, Florida 33955. The Contractor will have access for processing the materials at the facility on Monday through Friday between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., and Saturday between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. • The Contractor will need to provide the appropriate equipment to perform this task. • The ground material needs to be stockpiled into a windrow no taller than 15 feet in height. • The material should be grinded to 3” x 5”. • The Contractor is responsible to operate the site in a clean, secure, efficient manner and minimize damage to the processing area. • The Contractor performs in a manner that prevents oils, fuels, lubricants and/or other wastes from contaminating the environment. • The Contractor shall remove and consolidate any foreign materials (non-vegetative or non-wood) items for proper handling by the County.
