The City is seeking a consultant to identify the most effective types of green infrastructure projects for specific locations where flood mitigation is needed to ensure continued access to and provision of valuable services. This initiative will facilitate the implementation of green infrastructure across Jacksonville, which will benefit community resilience by reducing flooding. The green infrastructure projects prioritized by this initiative will protect critical assets by storing stormwater. Assets to be protected include but are not limited to fire stations, emergency shelters, senior centers, hospitals, and utilities. Additionally, green infrastructure is expected to reduce flooding on roadways, which will protect access to critical infrastructure and services and ensure the safety of evacuation routes.
