Please note: This is a Sole Source Notification. Requesting Agency: Kids Hope Alliance; Project Activities: • AgVenture Kits- Literacy component with hands on gardening project. Includes book printing, honey straws, beeswax, pots & soil and strawberry/cabbage plants. • KHA will receive booth space for a static display inside the Expo Hall during the fair. • Fair Admission for KHA After School Program - Admission/ entrance to the Jacksonville Fair for students participating in the KHA funded afterschool program. • Special Needs Kids @ The Jacksonville Fair• The Jacksonville Fair will open 2- 3 hours early to accommodate Special Needs Children, Includes unlimited rides, and entry into the barn to meet the animals. In the primary grades as science is underemphasized compared to mathematics and literacy; This approach is meant to create sustainable opportunities within afterschool programs for agencies/providers and students to explore agriculture activities related to growing food and learning about livestock. Students gain valuable agriculture experience while learning about where food comes from and how food is grown on farms. The Duval County Fair Association, Inc is the only vendor who can provide this service and tickets.
