Specifications include, but are not limited to:Background The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission is conducting research on transplanting giant bulrush to improve the chances of successful planting. During this study, we will evaluate rhizome size, initial plant density, and planting season on survival and establishment of giant bulrush in the field. Minimum Qualifications The Contractor shall supply a minimum of three (3) references for similar type work where the Contractor was the primary Contractor. Project Site All work will take place at Orlando Wetlands Park located at 25155 Wheeler Rd, Christmas, FL 32709 (Figure 1). The Park consists of a number of shallow, sand bottomed ponds which can be accessed from unpaved roads; therefore no boat will be required. The Project Manager will identify the exact location within the Park prior to planting. Planting Dates Six (6) planting events will be conducted fall 2015, spring 2016, summer 2016, fall 2016, spring 2017, and summer2017. Exact dates will be determined by the Project Manager in cooperation with the contractor.
