1. Mowing: Successful quoter shall remove all debris, trash and litter from the entire area prior to initiating any mowing of the turf area. Turf areas shall be maintained in a healthy, growing, green, trim condition. Mowing wet grass shall be avoided when possible. When feasible, mowing patterns should be changed frequently to avoid wear. Turf shall be cut in a professional manner as not to scalp turf or leave areas of uncut grass. 2. Care shall be taken to prevent the discharge of clippings into mulched beds, hard surfaces such as streets, curbs, storm drains, parking lots, sidewalks, and/or onto adjacent properties, athletic fields and sports courts. The mowers shall be driven so that shoot discharges away from athletic fields and sport courts when mowing around these areas. Any such materials discharged shall be completely removed by the successful quoter at its sole expense. Upon completion, a mowed area shall be free of clumped grass cuttings and tire tracks or ruts from mowing equipment. Excessive grass clippings shall be raked and removed. 3. Any debris (e.g. plastic bags, paper, cans or bottles) cut or broken during maintenance operations shall be completely removed from the site immediately prior to proceeding with the maintenance of other areas. 4. If an additional grounds maintenance service is requested by the Contract Administrator, this service will be billed in accordance to the current routine grounds maintenance service pricing for that site. 5. Additional Landscaping Tasks are not considered routine, and are defined further herein. 6. Grass Height: Shall be maintained at three inches (3”). 7. Debris: During each service visit, all plant beds, ground covers and mulched areas shall be maintained FREE of weeds, trash, fallen limbs, dead vegetation and all other forms of debris.
