The contractor shall perform the following services for each Freightliner transport truck bed: 1) Sandblast the entire carbon steel truck bed to an SSPC-SP7 standard to remove mill scale and welding slag. 2) Apply two (2) coats of undercoating to the underside of the frame and truck bed, apply one (1) coat of primer, and two (2) finishing coats, using Florida Forest Service colors, to the entire truck bed. 3) Finished paint must be free from drips, runs, thin spots, and overspray onto the cab or chassis. 4) Paint, primer, and undercoating will be supplied by the Florida Forest Service. 5) The vendor must pick up the trucks from Lake City and begin work within two weeks of receiving notification from the Contract manager that the trucks are ready. The Department reserves the right to add or reduce the number of Freightliner transport trucks to be serviced; therefore, the Department assigned purchase order shall be the official determination for final quantities.
