Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services, Florida Forest Service is seeking sealed bids for the sale of timber. This sale is a thinning of 119 acres of planted slash pine located in the Richloam Tract of the Withlacoochee State Forest in Hernando County, Florida (see attached maps). Timber in every third row will be harvested along with selected timber in the remaining rows that is suppressed or poorly formed to a residual basal area of 50 square feet per acre. Timber marked with orange paint is not to be harvested or damaged. The sale boundary is designated by distinct stand type changes, roads, and/or orange painted boundary trees. The estimated product volumes for this sale are 3,201 tons of pine pulpwood/mulchwood, 917 tons of pine chip and saw, and 126 tons of pine sawtimber, for a total estimated tonnage of 4,244.
