The City of St. Petersburg is seeking certified food truck businesses and catering companies in the area to support emergency response efforts during hurricane season and throughout the year. Vendors interested in providing these services must be prepared to operate on short notice immediatley following an emergency. These vendors will play a critical role in providing food services to city workers and emergency personnel immediately following severe weather events. Vendors also may be utilized throughout the year for various events. Please fill out the vendor questionnare completely including all proof of certification required, responses, and a reliable and responsive point of contact. 1.2. Minimum Requirements For Emergency Situations Certification and Licensing: Valid business license and all required health and food service permits All vendors must submit their State of FL DBPR Mobile Food Service License. Food truck vendors must submit their mobile food permit. Compliance with local, state, and federal food safety regulations Operational Readiness: Ability to mobilize and provide food services immediatley following an emergency or severe weather event. Sufficient food storage, preparation equipment, and staffing to handle high-demand situations. Power Supply: Access to a generator or other backup power source to operate independantly during power outages. Sanitation and Safety: Adherence to proper food handling, sanitation, and hygiene protocols to ensure safe food service during emergencies. Availability of clean water for food preparation and handwashing. Communication Capability: Ability to stay in contact with city officials to coordinate and recieve updates or instructions. Menu Flexibiity: Capacity to provide simplified or adaptable menu that can be prepared and served efficiently under emergency conditions. Insurance Coverage: Proof of liability insurance, including mobile operations for food trucks. Mobility and Accessibility: For food trucks, fully functional and road-ready vehicles capable of reaching designated locations in emergency zones. For catering companies, the ability to deliver prepared meals promptly to specified areas.
