Please note: This is a Sole Source Notification. Continuation of security assessment platform to conduct comprehensive, standardized security assessments. The Department of Education has the need to continue to revise template and secure system maintenance and services for its digital security risk assessment tool, the Florida Safe Schools Assessment Tool, FSSAT. The Florida Safe Schools Assessment Tool (FSSAT) is a comprehensive, web-based platform that enables all Florida public school districts and individual school sites to conduct annual physical site security risk assessments, as required under sections 1001.212(1) and 1006.1493, Florida Statutes. The system must provide standardized assessment templates, generate actionable reports, and allow secure data entry and storage to support statewide school safety planning and compliance monitoring by the Office of Safe Schools (OSS). The FSSAT is a proprietary online safety assessment system that houses the state’s mandated school security risk assessment for each Florida public school as well as each public-school as well as each public-school district’s safety and security program assessment. The Florida Department of Education requires continued services from Secure Passage. Secure Passage is the sole developer and maintainer of the FSSAT platform.
