Mowing shall be performed year-round throughout all five (5) regions of the District. Any deviations in the mowed area shall be discussed with the District’s Project Manager (DPM) prior to invoicing. Standard Large Machine Mowing is generally on flat, open areas or on the tops of elevated vegetated berms and roadways. In elevated mowing areas where side slopes are greater than 3H:1V, Contractor shall lower a mower wing along the edge of the flat area to mow a minimum of 5-feet down each slope (see Figure 1). If this minimum mowing requirement cannot be safely achieved due to slope geometry or other safety concerns, Contractor shall notify District staff. The District will either make necessary repairs or instruct Contractor not to mow these areas until the repairs are made. In areas where the slope is 3H:1V or flatter, Contractor shall mow to the existing mowed limits or as directed by the DPM.
