Specifications include, but are not limited to: This RFP is designed to improve family economic security by adding innovative services that are documented to improve financial literacy and assist in building personal assets for current TANF families or those who recently received TANF benefits. The services may include, but are not limited to the following: 1. Completion of a curriculum to increase the families' knowledge in financial literacy that may include credit options, tax incentives or options, savings benefits and lending issues; AND, 2. Completion of a comprehensive financial asset development strategy which may include options such as Individual Development Accounts (IDA's) or home ownership; OR, 3. Completion of a curriculum that trains on starting a small business that may include writing a business plan, accessing resources for micro business development, home based businesses, self-employment, at-home infant care or marketing home developed products; OR, 4. Receiving education or training in high demand fields that lead to employment with an increased wage through college, employment or other specialized training .
