Specifications include, but are not limited to: MDC requires a solution that includes comprehensive reporting, Business Intelligence (BI), business analytics to support the College in retaining students and accelerating students in completing their academic goals, and an overall approach toward data-driven decision making. - MDC needs reporting to support the Colleges major undertakings, specifically the Student Achievement Initiative, Outcomes Assessments, support of Accreditation, and the preparation of Institutional, Federal, & State reports. o MDC requires access to data to respond to ad hoc queries, the display of informative dashboards to monitor trends, and tools that users can easily use to design meaningful interventions as early as possible to aid students. - MDC requires a system that is maintained and updated to assure compliance. o All new Federal and State regulations need to be maintained and delivered in a timely fashion, including retrofitting any needed changes to conversions, reporting, interfaces, customizations, test scripts, training documentation, and business process documentation during the implementation. - The system should support multiple residency categories or category types (e.g. for registration fees and financial aid fees). - The system must support SEVIS rules as well as recording citizenship and VISAs. - MDC requires modern and future-focused methods for communicating with students, faculty, staff, vendors, and other stakeholders. o Students, faculty, support staff, and vendors should be able to interface with the school using Unified Communications to complete transactions online, via mobile apps, through email, over the phone, through social & networking medium, and in person. - MDC expects a system to be fully integrated within all of the functional modules, supported with real-time and batch interfaces to third party products, and seamless flexibility to accommodate needed non-delivered functionality. - Workflow is needed to properly channel tasks, communicate effectively, complete and track complex tasks, and receive confirmations including electronic signatures. Workflow needs to be role-based, rule-based, and highly configurable. - MDC takes the protection of sensitive data seriously. o Student information needs to be stored securely in the system and within interfaces. o There should be a unique identifier that does not rely on private information.
