Specifications include, but are not limited to: The City of Jacksonville (the “City”) is accepting proposals for consulting services to aid the City in the definition, development and implementation of an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) solution. The City seeks to transform existing core administrative Legacy applications and systems in order to realize excellence in IT operations and administrative efficiency. The City is seeking to replace its existing core applications including, but not necessarily limited to, Financial, Human Resources, Payroll, Procurement and associated functions with an industry best-practice solution that is built to leverage Cloud Computing while minimizing the expense of traditional Data Center infrastructure in order to provide next generation IT capabilities to the City Departments and Divisions. The City envisions using a ERP SaaS partner that offers an ERP architecture where a single version of the ERP software accommodates hundreds of internal End Users, where each End User is securely isolated and protected. The City also needs the ERP solution to be globally configurable to comply with future City needs, without compromising baseline functionality. This flexibility will enable the City to avoid expensive customizations and site-specific changes with regard to “point solutions” which have become increasingly difficult to maintain and manage. In addition, the City will need ERP implementation services to configure the ERP solution, complete data migration and conversion and lead its business process reengineering and organizational change efforts. The City will require an ERP implementation partner that has fully implemented ERP solutions on an end to end basis and can also provide evidence of demonstrated government agency or public sector experience.
