• Establish water quality goals for the drinking water distribution system, and provide recommendations to maintain it, including corrosion control, compliance with the lead and copper rule, Per-and Polyfluoroalkyl Substances (PFAS) rule, and Disinfection ByProducts. • Review compatibility of water in the distribution system with current treatment of lime softening, reverse osmosis and direct use with chlorination and submit recommendations. • Review of systems operations to make recommendations for energy conservation, efficiency, improved service quality, safety, and regulatory compliance. • Assist with the creation and updating of operating procedures and work instructions to ensure consistent high quality drinking water. Assist in implementing these including providing training. • Develop, update, and conduct training of Operation and Maintenance manuals. • Assistance with interaction with regulatory agencies, including preparing submittals related to permitting. • Assist with the development and updates of Information Management Systems Programs. • Assist with development and updates of Asset Management Programs and components. • Develop water distribution main operation, preventive maintenance and assessment and rehabilitation program. • Develop water main criticality assessment and prioritization program. • Develop Water Treatment Assessment Program. • Develop water main rehabilitation and replacement program. • Prepare a vulnerability assessment of water supply facilities to assess impacts from climate change, including sea level rise, storm surge, wind force, flooding, saltwater intrusion, and identify strategies by which to mitigate these consequences.
