The City of Clermont, Florida is seeking proposals from qualified contractors to provide design-build services for the development of a secured emergency response boat dock. This critical infrastructure project will strengthen the City’s ability to respond effectively to water-related emergencies, including rescue operations, firefighting, marine patrol, and recreational safety enforcement. The selected contractor will be responsible for the complete design and construction of the facility, ensuring full compliance with all applicable local, state, and federal regulations. The contractor must also lead all required coordination efforts with relevant stakeholders, including permitting agencies, utility providers, and City departments. The contractor’s responsibilities shall include, but are not limited to: Conducting site assessments and feasibility reviews Providing stamped engineering and architectural plans Securing all necessary permits and approvals Coordinating with City officials throughout the project lifecycle Constructing the secured boat dock and completing associated building upgrades Ensuring all work meets applicable codes, safety standards, and performance requirements This project will utilize an existing building located approximately 200 feet west of the public boat ramp as a secure access point to the boat lifts. The building will undergo minor upgrades, including replacement of the front door, installation of a secure rear access door, and demolition of the surrounding walkway.
