PART II – SCOPE OF SERVICE INTRODUCTION The City is vulnerable to a range of hazards or disasters that may impact the City at any time. City employees may be activated to respond to these disasters. The City is looking for a qualified catering company to cook and provide nutritious meals to responders working during an emergency. SCOPE OF WORK A. SPECIFICATIONS a. When an emergency or disaster occurs or is imminent, the City may contact the Vendor holding a valid contract under this solicitation in regard to the activation of this Agreement. At the discretion of the City, the Agreement may be activated immediately before, during, and/or after an emergency or disaster impacting the City of North Port b. No guarantee is expressed or implied as to the quantity of work that will be performed under this contract. No amount of work is guaranteed. c. Feeding requirements and needs shall be based on the severity of the disaster and should be scalable as to the needs of the City. Feeding may be requested at one location or several throughout the City. d. Vendor shall be prepared to supply and provide all supplies, food, materials, and equipment necessary to perform all cooking and serving. The City of North Port has extremely limited cooking, refrigeration, and storage capabilities, and will not be able to support the vendor with cooking, refrigeration, or other equipment. B. Activation Preparation and Response a. Depending on the nature of the emergency and/or disaster, the City will strive to provide at least 48 hours notice of activation. At this time, the City shall inform the Vendor(s), either verbally or in writing, of the nature of the emergency, site or location for setup, type of food and/or meals required, estimated quantity of food/meals to be served, serving times, name and contact information for the City’s feeding liaison, and other relevant information
