Emergency Catering Services (GRANT FUNDED), The results of this solicitation may be used by other County departments once awarded according to the Board of County Commissioners Procurement Ordinance. Under the current contract, emergency catering services were activated four (4) times—for Hurricanes Ian, Idalia, Helene, and Milton—at a cost of approximately $800,000. For historical meal volumes, in the recent County activations approximately 2,615 meals per day on average over 13 days for Hurricane Ian were served and 1,200 meals per day on average over 3 days for Hurricane Milton were served. These historical expenditures are provided for context only and should not be interpreted as a guarantee or minimum purchase level under any new agreements that may result.
