Specifications include, but are not limited to: As utilized herein, emergency board-up and securing service shall mean protection of property by covering up vulnerable entrances. The City utilizes the services of a contractor to provide emergency board-up and securing services on an as-needed basis, typically for disaster preparedness. On December 9, 2020, the City Commission approved the contract award pursuant to ITB 2021-010-WG for emergency board-up and securing services. The primary awarded contractor opted not to renew the contract with the city. The contract is currently awarded to a single contractor and shall expire on December 8, 2023. Due to the urgent nature of emergency board-up and securing services, it is prudent to have more than one contractor to engage if needs arise. Therefore, the City of Miami Beach is seeking bids from contractors for the purchase of emergency board-up and securing services for the City’s Building Department and Code Compliance Department or any other City department that may require the services as specified herein. The work and services to be provided in this bid shall include the furnishing of all materials, labor, supervision, means of transportation, permits, licenses, equipment, and incidentals necessary for the emergency board-up and in the securing of buildings and structures citywide. All correspondence must be made through the Vendor Portal.
