The 325th Contracting Squadron at Tyndall AFB, FL, is issuing this RFI for the purpose of providing pilot training on the E9 Widget.

- The E-9 is a modified De Havilland Dash 8-100 series aircraft with Pratt and Whitney turboprop engines. The contractor shall provide initial and refresher academic and simulator training for
Dash 8-100 (E-9) pilots at a fully equipped training facility that provides a safe and professional training environment. When requested, the contractor shall provide simulator time on an hourly basis as well as simulator fill in positions for the pilot position.

The training shall be conducted in a Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Level C or better simulator by FAA certified flight instructors in accordance with FAA Regulations Part 121,135, 141, and 142. Contractor’s training capability shall include legacy Dash 8-100 (E-9) aircraft and provide instructors with recent and applicable aircraft or simulator experience. Initial training shall be to the standard that the pilots may receive a Type Certification (as applicable). As part of the initial training, all pilots meeting the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) prerequisites shall be offered the opportunity to receive a Type Certification (as applicable. The individual student is responsible for completing FAA prerequisites.
