Specifications include, but are not limited to: The purpose of this Request for Proposal (RFP) is to identify additional third-party assessments and exams that will be designated by the Department for Digital Tool Certificates in accordance with the provisions of sections 1003.4203 and 1008.44, Florida Statutes. These certificates are a component of the annual implementation of the Career and Professional Education (CAPE) Act and the CAPE Industry Certification Funding List. The purpose of the act was to provide a statewide planning partnership between the business and education communities in order to attract, expand, and retain targeted, high-value industry and to sustain a strong, knowledge-based economy. CAPE Digital Tool Certificates are certificates that indicate a student’s digital skills. According to section 1003.4203(3)(a), Florida Statutes, the targeted skills to be mastered for the certificate include digital skills that are necessary to the student’s academic work and skills the student may need in future employment. The skills documents by the certification must include at least one of the following: • word processing; • spreadsheets; • presentations, including sound, motion, and color presentations; • digital arts; • cybersecurity; and • coding
