All correspondence must be made through the Vendor Portal. Specifications include, but are not limited to: The scope of the Orange County Convention Center (OCCC) West Building Access Control System Replacement Project is to replace, upgrade, and expand the existing door access control systems based upon the Orange County current Standards and Guidelines for Door Access Control. The intent is to remove the existing Pegasys access control system and components, and convert the entire West Building to Lenel. The existing Lenel system is to remain. The access control system will be expanded to include electrical rooms, IDF rooms, and mechanical rooms, catwalks, roof access points, vaults, outside gates, select perimeter doors. The Consultant shall provide final design and construction plans for the OCCC West Building Access Control Replacement. The Consultant shall perform those architectural and engineering services required to prepare a complete set of contract documents, (plans and specifications), as described elsewhere herein. The Consultant’s Engineer-of-Record shall sign and seal a certification on the plans stating that the design has been prepared in accordance with design standards that are most appropriate, including County’s design standards, and any regulatory standards latest edition, in effect at the time of the Notice to Proceed. The Consultant shall utilize best engineering judgment, practices and principles in performing the work. Consultant shall: • Provide design documents that meet the additional needs of the OCCC West Building Access Control Replacement. • Prepare construction documents to be competitively bid through the County’s Procurement Division. Provide the Owner with assistance in soliciting bids or proposal, and issuing addenda responses. • Ensure that an acceptance procedure has been identified, established and incorporated in the Bid Documents for the testing/review and acceptance of the new OCCC West Building Access Control Replacement. • Prepare all documentation and responses necessary to obtain permits from all agencies having jurisdiction over the project. • Provide services during bidding, including but not limited to, review of bids, answer RFI’s, addendum assistance. • Provide services during construction, including but not limited to, construction observation, review submittals and shop drawings, pay applications and answering RFI’s.
