Charlotte County is requesting proposals from qualified firms to provide professional design services to meet all applicable Federal, State, and Local requirements for the demolition and complete replacement/repair/revetment of the fishing pier, bulkhead and approach located at the Placida Fishing Pier, 13120 Pier Road, Placida, FL 33946. The project consists of an approximately 1,000-foot long earthen filled causeway with rip rap covered embankments, an asphalt walkway, and an approximately 5,400 square foot fishing pier that was built on top of the abandoned railroad trestle. Contractor shall be responsible for construction ready plans (which will be incorporated into the County’s bid Documents), permitting, and construction oversight. This is a Disaster Recovery Project for Hurricane Idalia FEMA DR-4734-FL and Hurricane Milton FEMA DR-4834-FL. Elements include, but are not limited to, the following: 1. Design and Permitting Services - project initiation, data collection, preliminary design and permitting. 2. Construction Services – value engineering, costing, construction plans and specifications and bid process requirements. 3.
