The Central Florida Tourism Oversight District (CFTOD) seeks competitive proposals from ‘qualified’ design-build teams for the engineering, procurement and construction/installation of a standalone modular High Temperature Hot Water (HTHW) boiler plant, which includes, but is not limited to: boiler(s), pumps, controls, expansion tanks, chemical treatment and ancillary equipment. In addition to the installation of the modular HTHW boiler plant, a temporary HTHW boiler is to be installed as a backup to the current temporary steam boiler which was installed due to operational, and reliability concerns with the existing boiler #3 and backup Heat Recovery Steam Generator (HSRG) systems. The addition of a temporary HTHW boiler #3 will return the system to N+1. The temporary boiler #3 shall be installed and available for operation by September 2025. The temporary boiler #3 will remain in service until the modular HTHW boiler plant system is available for operation. The modular HTHW boiler plant shall be installed and ready for operation by September 2026. Both systems will be located at the District’s Central Energy Plant (CEP) 5300 Center Drive, Lake Buena Vista, Florida (the “Project”). Also, both systems will include but not limited to, major and minor piping and ancillary equipment, natural gas connections, plumbing systems, associated 480V, 120V, and low voltage electrical and controls systems and integration, concrete foundations and supports, structural steel work, painting, and insulation.
