The Vendor will be responsible for providing debt collection services for Debtor Accounts pursuant to the terms of this Contract. Accounts referred (if any) to the Vendor for collection under this Contract may include SunPass® accounts and/or TBP accounts. SunPass® Accounts SunPass® is the Department’s branding for its electronic prepaid toll collection program through which payment of toll transactions and other amounts due by a customer are deducted from the customer’s account using a SunPass® transponder. A SunPass® account may be established for individuals, business entities, and other organizations, and a SunPass® transponder may be used by customers to pay for toll transactions on Department-owned and operated toll facilities, as well as toll transactions and parking transactions on Interoperable Agency facilities. The Department will issue written notices to a customer if the customer’s SunPass® account reaches a configurable insufficient balance threshold (as established by the Department). If the SunPass® account balance remains insufficient after written notices have been issued to the customer, then the Department may refer the Account to the Vendor for collections.
