Milling existing pavement of approximately 7,982 LF of 20’ wide roadways within the City of High Springs,finishing the milled surface, and placement of the new asphalt pavement in a single course of SP 12.5 atminimum 1 ½” compacted thickness. If after milling the asphalt, the road base is in bad shape an asphaltleveling course will be paved over the area, if ripping grading and repacking road is not reasonable. Densitychecks on installed lime rock 6” to 8” thickness. There will be no paving over concrete. Track coat will beapplied to all surfaces per DOT Specifications. Manhole, valves, and storm water inlets will need to raise to theproper grade and all manholes, valves, and storm water inlet adjustments will be the responsibility of thecontractor. To maintain level access to driveways, an apron shall be required at all driveway locations. Shallinclude striping the roadway back to the existing layout and shall include stop bars at all stop conditions.Yelow double stripes are not needed at all intersections, but recommended when tying into county or state roads, consult Florida Department of Transportation on what they would like the specifications to be. Any change requests will need to be presented and explained to Jason Kytle City of High Springs Public Works Director for clarification prior to work proceeding. Change requests will then be presented to Jeremy Marshal City Manager for discussion and approval.
