Specifications include, but are not limited to: A.This is an armed, uniformed security officer assignment. The Contractor shall provide properly trained and fully outfitted armed security officers to respond to the needs of the City at City Hall, located at 501 Harrison Avenue, as specified herein.B.The officer will wear a law enforcement style uniform, with badge affixed to the pocket and comply with Florida Statute 493.6110. As this is a highly visible post, the officer should wear a neatly pressed uniform and polished shoes. Hair and facial hair should be clean and neatly trimmed, with no distracting colors. The officer should practice good hygiene and shall not wear nose rings or earrings, or have other visible piercings. Excessive tattoos should be covered during work hours if possible. Prior law enforcement, corrections staff, or those with military service background are preferred for this position.C.Bidder shall comply with all applicable provisions of Florida Statute 493; specifically, a security agency shall have a Class “B” license and any security officer shall possess a Class “G” license. The security agency shall also carry insurance in accordance with Florida Statute 493.6110 and provide proof thereof naming the city as an additional insured.
