The Citrus Grove Road Phase II project involves widening of Citrus Grove Road from a two-lane undivided roadway to four-lane divided urban roadway from 1,800 feet west of Scrub Jay Lane to 200 feet west of Grassy Lake Road. Total project length is approximately 4,177 feet (0.790 miles). The project consists of constructing four 12-foot travel lanes, 4-foot bike lanes, 22-foot raised median, a 5-foot sidewalk on the south side and a 12-foot multi-use trail on the north side. Roadway work will include milling and resurfacing existing roadway, construction of a new roadway (to include stabilization, base, asphalt), raised medians, curb and gutter, concrete sidewalk/trail, and driveway reconstruction. Guardrail is proposed for the curved section of roadway west of Scrub Jay Lane on the south side of Citrus Grove Road. Thermoplastic striping along with roadway signage will be placed. Drainage improvements include a closed drainage system requiring installation of storm pipe, curb inlets, ditch bottom inlets, mitered end sections and end walls. A dry pond is proposed at east of Scrub Jay Lane and south of Citrus Grove Road. A second pond is proposed west of Scrub Jay Lane and south of Citrus Grove Road. Other construction elements include mobilization, maintenance of traffic, erosion control, clearing and grubbing, excavation, embankment, and sod. All pedestrian facilities shall adhere to current American with Disabilities Act (ADA) standards. Utility coordination is required and has been coordinated. An environmental resource permit is being obtained for the project. The Contractor shall construct the project within the limits of the existing right of way or easements.
