Specifications include, but are not limited to: This project consists of constructing a new, approximately 7.15-acre, public park located along the southern side of Olive Road, to the east of Carpenter Creek, in Pensacola, (Escambia County). The proposed development will consist of the construction of a new public park with an associated parking area, walking trail, boardwalk, benches, picnic tables, educational signs, bicycle racks and driveway connections to Olive Road. Also, landscaping and a pollinator garden adds aesthetics to attract residents. This project will provide treatment of stormwater runoff that is currently being directly discharged to Carpenter Creek and invasive species management along the entire project. The stormwater will be captured and conveyed by overland flow over the impervious surfaces before being directed toward a dry detention with filtration (side bank sand filter) pond to be constructed near the southeastern portion of the project area. An additional wet retention pond is sized to alleviate flooding from a historic flood zone near Whitmire Drive and Sabra Drive. The project is bound by Olive Road to the north and county owned property to the east, west and south.
