Jacksonville Public Education Fund – Campaign for GradeLevel Reading is requesting funding to support aimed at improving literacy rates in our city through awareness generation. JPEF’s role to focus on leveraging the organization’s considerable research and technical assistance expertise to help accelerate READ JAX’s impact in the eight targeted school communities to reach and engage more parents and the community in strategic ways that will help advance literacy outcomes. This effort is in service of the City of Jacksonville, as the 2020/2021 FSA results revealed that 52% of 3rd grade students in Duval County did not score on grade-level for literacy. The campaign, and awareness efforts supported by JPEF with your support will ensure that parents are aware and equipped with literacy practices, resources, and support to implement at-home.
