Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Alachua County Arts Council (“the Committee”) invites artists or artist teams to submit their proposals for public art installations planned for the Alachua County Tax Collector’s remodeled Downtown Public Branch office. This permanent installation will include two potential sites: (1) located at the exterior space near the entrance to the facility (2) located in the public lobby. After review of all submissions, the Committee will refer 3-5 artists or artist teams to the Alachua County Board of County Commissioners for final selection. (3) Artists or artist teams can apply for one or both installations. Background The Alachua County Art in Public Places Program requires that one percent (1%) of the cost of an applicable County capital project shall be devoted to public art.
