Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Parks, Recreation and Community Services Department seeks proposals for a licensee to manage and provide athletic programming at Rondette Park reflective of community needs and for the benefit of the neighborhood and community. Management includes, but not limited to, managing the athletic fields, concession stand and restrooms at Rondette Park. Programming may include, but not limited to, recreation, sports education, and/or youth programs and/or youth athletic activities, education on health, wellness, nutrition, and generally mentor youth from all walks of life and/or enhance youth self-esteem, teamwork, sportsmanship, leadership and/or life skills. Organizations demonstrating the ability to provide programming and public access consistent with community needs will be preferred. The Department may continue to require use of Rondette Park, to include the athletic fields, during non-operational hours. Program Goals a) Manage Rondette Park including but not limited to management of athletic fields, batting cages, concession stand and restrooms. b) Provide programs including, but not limited to, recreation, sports education and/or youth programs and/or youth athletic activities, education on health, wellness, nutrition, and generally mentor youth from all walks of life and/or enhance youth self-esteem, teamwork, sportsmanship, leadership and/or life skills. c) Provide athletic programs for youth. d) Provide opportunities for socialization for youths, adults and seniors. e) Ensure access by the residents of Duval County and specifically the neighborhoods surrounding the park. f) Organizations demonstrating the ability to provide programming and public access consistent with community needs will be preferred.
