The Consultant shall: 1. Administer mental health evaluations that adhere to accepted industry standards, tailored to the unique stresses of the fire service workforce to approximately 1,610 fire personnel, including those specific to OCFRD. 2. Be open to feedback to ensure the goals of the pilot program are met and improvements are made where needed. 3. Collaborate with OCFRD’s designated Fit for Duty physician to address cases where evaluations meet a threshold of risk requiring further intervention. The primary goals of this program are to : 1. Perform behavioral health assessments that include a mental and social health checkup for each individual. 2. Conduct evaluations using in-person methods and/or telehealth options as needed. 3. Ensure evaluations meet all accepted clinical standards and maintain strict confidentiality. DELIVERABLES 1. Individual Reports i. Provide a confidential report for each evaluated firefighter within five (5) business days from the date of evaluation, including findings and any recommended next steps. 2. Reports to OCFRD Leadership i. Submit reports to the Safety and Wellness Chief summarizing individual outcomes and necessary follow-ups, within five (5) business days from the date of evaluation. 3. Aggregate Summary Report i. Provide quarterly summary reports that highlight trends and common findings from the evaluations. This report should include actionable recommendations to address workforce mental health trends.
