Basic Grounds Maintenance Services includes mowing, weed eating, edging, hedging, vine removal, blowing off debris, and minor weeding, pruning, and mulching as needed. For planning purposes, vendors should expect to service each facility at least once every 14 days, providing mowing, edging, weedeating, and blowing for a total of 26 services per year. The County reserves the right to request additional visits, which will be charged according to the pricing sheet. Minor landscaping services, such as pruning, mulching, and weeding, will be performed on an as-needed basis and will occur fewer than 26 times per year. Chemicals such as fertilizer, herbicides, and pesticides are not to be used unless approved by the County Contract Manager or designee. The Basic Grounds Maintenance services will be completed by equipment that is in good working order and acceptable by the County. Acceptable equipment includes but is not limited to: o Commercial zero turn mowers, lawn tractors, or walk behind mowers; o Trucks, trailers, and other means of transportation; o Commercial weed eaters, blowers and edgers; o Garden tools such as hedgers and chainsaws.
