Furnish and install approximately 140 LF of 8-inch potable watermain extending along the northerly right of way of Bantry Bay Boulevard East from Placida Road. The line will connect to an existing 12-inch potable water main on Placida Road and connect to an existing 8-inch potable watermain on Bantry Bay Boulevard as shown on the construction plans. The Contractor will use trenchless construction methods to install the main beneath the roadway. The intent of this project is to use the existing 14-inch HDPE watermain that sustained the damage as a casing for the new pipe. If some damage to the existing 14-inch HPDE pipe occurs during the 8- inch HDPE installation, no corrective action is required. Locates, dewatering, excavations, pipe purchase, tie-ins to both ends, compaction, Public Works permits, restoration, all testing connection to the existing distribution system and all other work required for total project completion and placement in-service will be the responsibility of the Contractor. Upon completion and before acceptance and payment will be made for same, Contractor shall restore all public and private property to pre-construction levels, which was damaged during the prosecution of the work The Contractor shall be responsible for all maintenance of traffic and obtaining approval of a Maintenance of Traffic (MOT) Plan from the Charlotte County Public Works Engineering Department for work within or adjacent to the Right of Way of any County Road.
