Specifications include, but are not limited to: Scope of work to include: The project consists of HVAC and controls improvements at the BSL-3 Laboratory Building that will enable the facility to modulate between BSL-2 and BSL-3 functionality with correlating air exchanges for each level of containment as required. The scope of work includes selective demolition of existing mechanical equipment / infrastructure, provision of a new rooftop air handling unit, ductwork, air valves, exhaust fans, a chiller, pumps, canopy hoods, control switches, alarm/ status panels, direct digital controls, building automation system integration, commissioning, HVAC associated plumbing and electrical modifications, and access control infrastructure. Alternate scope packages include new resinous epoxy flooring, ceiling access panels, interior paint, an LP gas boiler system and a wastewater treatment system. Respondents must provide demonstrated experience with construction of biosafety laboratory facilities. Experience with facilities meeting biosafety level two or greater is preferred.
