Specifications include, but are not limited to: The project is located on Avenue K, NW between First Street North and Lake Martha Drive NE. It includes a “complete street” treatment to the existing corridor. Work includes roadway modifications, drainage, multiuse path, sidewalks, onstreet parking, intersection improvements, cross walks, pavement markings, conduits, curbing, street signs landscaping and other associated work. • The contractor shall have at least one competent representative attend a public open house prior to construction commencing. All details for the open house including notifications, location, providing City Staff and any needed print materials will be handled by the City. The open houses will occur during the regular work week in the late afternoon and early evening hours. • The contractor must properly maintain the silt fence and any erosion controls throughout the duration of the project. If additional measures are needed to prevent erosion, it will be the responsibility of the contractor to provide them. Erosion controls must be inspected and ensured functional every day, including non-work days if deemed necessary by the City or Contractor. • Throughout the duration of the project, the contractor shall provide reasonable access to private property. If necessary, this may include coordinating with individual property owners on removing and replacing portions of the silt fence while still maintaining any and all erosion controls. • The contractor shall ensure all workers/visitors to the work site wear appropriate personal protective equipment. At a minimum this shall include reflective vest.
