The purpose of this solicitation to secure the qualified labor required for successful completion of the following work at the Florida School for the Deaf and the Blind (FSDB). This work statement applies to automatic sprinkler equipment, fire pumps, standpipes, and backflow preventers and their components for service and maintenance as scheduled by the FSDB Contract Manager. Contractor shall provide labor, tools, parts, equipment, and materials for the testing, inspection, maintenance, repair, or replacement of automatic sprinkler equipment, fire pumps, standpipes, and backflow preventers. Inspections to include quarterly, annual, 3-year, and 5-year. FSDB has currently has twenty-three (23) locations covered by full coverage automatic sprinkler systems, one (1) location with a limited coverage sprinkler system (6 heads or less), and two (2) locations with stand pipes all serviced by thirty-six (36) risers; three (3) fire pumps; fifty-four (54) backflow preventers (subject to change due to on-going or future construction) requiring testing, inspections, maintenance, repair, or replacement as specified herein.
