The City of Sunrise has identified Automated License Reader (ALPR) technology as a critical tool for enhancing public safety, investigative efficiency, and real-time crime prevention. ALPR systems provide automated, accurate, and rapid scanning of license plates, enabling our police officers to proactively prevent crime and tremendously improve the overall safety of our community. This RFP is for the purchase of an ALPR system. The system must be complete and fully functional with all specified hardware, accessories and ancillary components for use. The system involves the installation and deployment of one hundred and ninety-two (192) fixed cameras, strategically located on major roadways, intersections, and city entry/exit points. The locations will be based on critical infrastructure, traffic volume, and crime statistics as determined by the City. This purchase will be partially funded by forfeiture funds and as such the Contractor shall comply with the requirements of 2 CFR 200 Appendix II – Contract Provisions for Non-Federal Contracts Under Federal Awards incorporated into this Contract under -Attachment 3.
